Best Vacation Outfits: Where to Find Vacation Clothes in 2026

Searching for the best vacation outfits and resort wear but feel like stores never have fun tropical styles in stock when you actually need them? You’ve come to the right place. This guide covers the best brands for finding cute vacation clothes that consistently keep a great selection of dresses, jumpsuits, and rompers in stock year round — no matter when your trip is.
From bright tropical prints to romantic resort wear styles, these brands will become your go-to destinations for vacation outfit shopping.
Free People

If your style leans free-spirited and bohemian, Free People should be your first stop for vacation dresses. This beloved boho-chic brand carries everything from mini dresses and rompers to athleisure and flowing, beachy maxi dresses. Their Extratropical Maxi dress is my personal go-to for beach photoshoots — I own it in several colors and always pack one for my trips!
Dupe Alert! Love the Free People aesthetic but working with a tighter budget? Amazon has an incredible selection of Free People dupes. I purchased the Amazon dupe of the Extratropical Maxi dress and honestly cannot tell the difference between the two. You’ll get the same gorgeous look for a fraction of the price!

Quince

Quince is one of my favorite online retailers for both everyday wear and vacation outfits. You’ll find an impressive range of options at fantastic prices — from linen dresses and two-piece sets perfect for a European getaway, to slinky silk dresses ideal for a dressy resort evening, to breezy cotton dresses made for summer. The brand is built around affordability, sustainability, and transparent pricing, and directly competes with higher-end retailers like Jenni Kayne, Reformation, and Frank & Eileen — often at a fraction of the cost.

Show Me Your Mumu

If you want to channel your inner bright, colorful, fun California girl, Show Me Your Mumu is the brand for you. Best known as a destination for bridesmaid dresses, Show Me Your Mumu offers so much more than that — think bold colors, fun prints, and whimsical embellishments like bows and ruffles across a huge selection of dresses, rompers, and two-piece sets. If you’re looking for a showstopping statement dress for a vacation or photoshoot, you will absolutely find it here!

Reformation

Reformation is an LA-based brand with a distinctly feminine and romantic aesthetic. Best known for their beautifully crafted dresses, Reformation is also a popular choice for bridal party and occasion wear. If you’re drawn to pretty prints, long lean silhouettes, thigh-high slits, and slinky fits, this is your brand. And with Reformation’s strong commitment to sustainability, you can feel good about every purchase you make.

Dupe Alert! While there aren’t a ton of exact Reformation dupes on Amazon, searching the brand name will turn up some great similar styles. Amazon also carries a dupe of the Reformation Kaila dress — worth checking out especially since the original was recently discontinued. A great budget-friendly alternative!
Rails

Rails is another LA-based brand, best known for their menswear-inspired button-up shirts. However, their casual sundress selection is equally worth your attention. With subdued patterns and breezy linen fabrics, Rails dresses transition effortlessly from vacation to brunch to everyday errands — a true wardrobe workhorse.
Banana Republic

It might surprise you to see Banana Republic on this list — traditionally known for workwear staples — but the brand has undergone a significant transformation in recent years. The focus has shifted toward higher-quality, elevated pieces, many of which make excellent vacation options. Think slinky silk dresses, cotton poplin midis, safari-inspired styles, and pieces that feel straight out of a summer in the Hamptons. Their silk slip dresses in particular are one of my favorite dressy options for evenings at a resort.
Abercrombie & Fitch

If you’re a millennial like me, Abercrombie & Fitch probably brings up some complicated feelings from the early 2000s! But hear me out — A&F has completely rebranded and is absolutely worth a second look for vacation outfits. The brand now offers a great selection of cute summer dresses and two-piece sets with body-inclusive marketing and a much more modern aesthetic. While their summery selection can be thinner during the winter months, you can still find solid options year round.
Free People Movement

Did you know that Free People has a second brand dedicated entirely to athleisure? Don’t overlook FP Movement when packing for vacation — because vacations aren’t just about beachwear and maxi dresses. Between exploring, sightseeing, and hiking in hot climates, having the right athletic wear on hand is essential. And FP Movement delivers some truly great options. The FP Movement Righteous Runsie romper is one of my personal favorites — I love it so much that I own it in five colors!
Dupe Alert! Amazon carries FP Movement dupes as well, including several versions of the Righteous Runsie. I’ll be honest — there is a slight difference in fabric quality compared to the original. But the overall look is virtually identical, and given how affordable the dupes are, they are absolutely worth trying before committing to the full price!
Amazon

Last but certainly not least — Amazon is my absolute favorite place to shop for vacation outfits. With thousands of options ranging from dresses and jumpsuits to linen sets and more, the selection is truly unmatched. Prices are incredibly affordable, which means you can stock up on multiple pieces without breaking the bank. And when you find something you love, you can grab it in every color — just like I did with my favorite casual maxi dress!
