Why I Love This Amazon Vacation Dress
First and foremost, this dress is incredibly versatile. Dress it up with sandals for a nice vacation dinner, keep it casual with sneakers and a ball cap for a day of sightseeing, or layer it under a denim jacket when the temperatures drop.
On vacation, I’ll wear it out exploring, to dinner in the evenings, lounging by the pool, or thrown on as a quick beach cover-up. I even wear it as my airport travel outfit with a jacket over it.
And it’s not just a vacation piece — I wear this dress all summer long at home too. It truly works for just about any situation!
One thing worth noting is that this dress is sold by several different sellers on Amazon. Regardless of which brand you choose, it is the exact same dress — the only differences between sellers are the price and the available color options.
I also recently wore this dress on our very first cruise, and it turned out to be the perfect cruise dress as well. One of the biggest challenges of dressing on a cruise ship is navigating the constant shift between the sweltering outdoor heat and the heavily air-conditioned interior — and this dress handled it beautifully.
During the day it kept me cool on deck, and in the evenings I simply threw a linen button-up shirt over it for a warm, effortless layer. Not only did it solve the temperature problem, but it made for the most perfect nautical outfit too!
Fit & Sizing
The dress features adjustable shoulder straps and pockets — always a win! The maxi length is very generous. At 5’7″, the dress hits right at my ankles. If you’re on the shorter side, I’d suggest tying the hem up in a knot to shorten the length. This is a great hack for wearing a maxi dress during rainy weather, too.
As you can see in the photos, the dress drapes beautifully. It’s flattering through the tummy, the pockets add some curves to the hips, and it flows nicely in the breeze for photos. Sizes range from Small to XXL, with some sellers even offering plus size options up to 5XL.
One thing to keep in mind is that Amazon sizing can run a little inconsistent. I personally found this dress to run slightly small. I’m a size 12 and typically wear a size Large in dresses, but I sized up to an XL in this one.
