Monday Swimwear Sizing for Large Busts

Monday Swimwear uses a unique P through VVV sizing system, ranging from Petite on the smaller end to VVV on the larger end. The large bust options break down as follows:

• V = Voluptuous
• VV = Very Voluptuous
• VVV = Very, Very Voluptuous

Because the majority of Monday’s swimsuit tops tie in the back, large-busted women have the flexibility to order the largest size available for maximum coverage and support. And even the underwire options fit my 36G cups perfectly!

One thing I truly appreciate about Monday Swimwear is that they provide the measurements and sizing of their models for reference, taking the guesswork out of ordering online. They have also recently begun featuring more mid-sized and curvy models on their website — a welcome change from their earlier days of exclusively marketing to very slim body types.

Monday Clovelly Top

The Clovelly Top is considered Monday Swimwear’s best-selling bikini top — and after wearing it myself, I completely understand why. This underwire top features adjustable straps, a tie-back, and a flattering V-front detail, making it a fantastic option for large busts.

The fit is excellent and the underwire is surprisingly comfortable. I was also impressed to find that I could fit into a VV, as the color I wanted was sold out in the largest size. I later purchased a second Clovelly Top in VVV and it fit fantastic as well.

I did run into one minor issue with my first Clovelly Top purchase — the shoulder straps would occasionally twist and slip down my sloped shoulders. However, I suspect this was more a matter of the fabric choice or sizing than a flaw with the top itself. This issue did not occur with my second purchase in the larger size.

Monday Honolulu Top

The Monday Swimwear Honolulu Top is an underwire halter bikini top designed for large busts, featuring wide halter straps, an adjustable tie-back, and O-ring details. Monday describes this top as sculpting, lifting, and supporting — and in many ways, it delivers on that promise.

I genuinely thought the Honolulu Top was going to be my all-time favorite Monday Swimwear style. It’s incredibly comfortable, supportive, and lifting, and I felt amazing heading to the beach for its first wear. That is, until I sat down in my beach chair and noticed something was very wrong.

The underwire was poking out of the top by several inches right in the middle of my chest. I couldn’t believe it! My boyfriend had to perform emergency surgery on the top — while I was still wearing it, in the middle of the beach — cutting small slits on the inside with a key and pulling the underwires out completely. Problem solved, sort of. Without the underwire, I did lose some of the shape and lift that had initially won me over. Whether this was a one-time fluke or a design issue, I honestly can’t say for certain — but it’s worth keeping in mind.

Monday Sorrento Top

The Sorrento Top is one of Monday Swimwear’s newest underwire bikini tops. With its demi-style cups, the Sorrento is both feminine and flattering for large busts, and also features adjustable thick shoulder straps and a tie-back.

Normally, I shy away from demi underwire tops for my 36G bust, as fitting into them is usually a struggle. However, I decided to give the Sorrento Top a try and was pleasantly surprised. The demi cut was supportive and lifting, and I never once felt like I was at risk of a wardrobe malfunction. It’s an overall very pretty top that I think will appeal to a wide range of bust sizes.

There is some minor side spillage, but in my opinion it’s barely noticeable and didn’t bother me at all — a small trade-off for such a flattering and comfortable fit.

Monday Maui Top

The Maui Top is another underwire large bust bikini top from Monday Swimwear. It’s marketed as cleavage-enhancing, with a demi cup style, adjustable thin straps, and a tie-back.

Although I had excellent luck with Monday’s other demi-style top, unfortunately I ran into a couple of issues with this one. If you look closely at the product photos on the website, you can actually see the sides of the top sticking out slightly on the larger-busted models — and the same thing happened to me. The protruding underwire rubbed against my arms terribly, to the point where I ended up cutting it out entirely.

Once the underwire was removed, the rubbing stopped and I was significantly more comfortable. Honestly, I don’t think I could have worn this top for more than a few minutes with the underwire intact. If you have a larger bust, just keep that in mind before purchasing.

Monday Morocco Top

Monday Swimwear’s Morocco Top is the ultimate triangle top for large busts. Featuring wide neck and back ties, pleated cup details, and gold ring hardware, this top manages to combine a relaxed, beachy aesthetic with impressive support.

I found the Morocco Top to be extremely comfortable, and was genuinely surprised by how much lift and support it provided for a triangle style. The wide, soft straps are a welcome upgrade from standard string bikini ties, and the cups offer generous coverage with a degree of adjustability that makes it easy to dial in the perfect fit.

If you love the look of a triangle top but have always found them lacking in support for a larger bust, the Morocco Top is the answer. It’s the perfect middle ground between style and comfort.

Monday Tulum Top

The Tulum Top is described as the Monday founder’s personal favorite — and after wearing it myself, I think I have to agree. Made from a buttery soft material, it ties at the neck and back and features adjustable tabs at the top of the bust for a customizable fit.

This top truly is something special. It felt like a second skin from the moment I put it on, and the adjustable tabs are a genius detail that allow you to style the top as either a triangle or a halter depending on your mood. While Monday markets the Tulum Top as accommodating up to a DDD cup, it fit my G cup with absolutely no issues — a pleasant surprise!

I wholeheartedly recommend the Tulum Top, and if you’re an E, F, or G cup, don’t let the DDD marketing deter you. In my experience, it’s well worth trying regardless of where you fall in that range.

Monday Portofino Top

Monday Swimwear’s Portofino Top is a “tall triangle” style bikini top with adjustable shoulder straps and a tie-back. It offers the coverage and polished look of a halter-style top with the added comfort of over-the-shoulder straps rather than a neck tie.

I found the Portofino Top to be an excellent large bust bikini option. It’s very comfortable, the tall triangle style provides great cup coverage, and I love that it achieves the aesthetic of a halter top without any of the neck strain that can come with wearing one all day at the beach.

Unfortunately, as of 2024 this top appears to be out of production — and honestly, I have no idea why, because it’s wonderful! The last time I was able to purchase it was back in 2022. Here’s hoping Monday Swimwear brings it back, because it truly deserves a place in their permanent lineup!

Monday Aruba Top

The Aruba Top is one of Monday Swimwear’s most unique signature styles. It features an over-the-shoulder V-neck design with pleated cups, wide straps, and a supportive wide under-bust band that ties at the back. Monday markets this top as suitable for up to a G cup — though based on my experience, I’m not entirely convinced.

I have to admit, this top is really cute. It gives off a beautiful boho, Grecian goddess vibe that I absolutely love the look of. Unfortunately, my feelings about the fit are a little more complicated. The shoulder straps felt too short for my frame, which caused the band to ride up my ribs constantly. The cups also bordered on slightly too small, giving my chest a somewhat squished appearance. The top looks great when freshly adjusted, but the moment I moved around, I found myself readjusting it all over again.

I really wish the Aruba Top came in a VV or VVV size, as I think that would have resolved most of my fit issues. If you’re more of a D through DDD cup, however, I think this could be a fantastic top for you — the style is truly gorgeous and the construction is lovely.

Monday Palma Top

Think a true triangle string bikini for large busts doesn’t exist? Meet the Monday Palma Top. Featuring adjustable string neck and back ties along with ample cups that provide plenty of coverage, the Palma Top is proof that large-busted women don’t have to give up their favorite bikini style.

I really love the Palma Top for exactly this reason — a triangle string bikini that actually fits a larger bust is genuinely hard to come by. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the cups accommodated me with little to no spillage. For a true string bikini, that is no small feat!

The one downside of this top is not really a fault of the design itself — it’s simply the nature of a string bikini on a larger bust. The thin straps do put some strain on your neck over the course of a long beach day. Thicker straps would certainly help with that, but then it wouldn’t really be a string bikini anymore, would it? It’s a small trade-off for finally having a triangle top that actually fits!

Monday Capri Top

The Capri Top is another underwire bikini top from Monday Swimwear that fits large busts very well. It features thin over-the-shoulder straps, an underwire, and a thick back tie for added support.

Overall, the Capri Top fit quite well. The underwire was comfortable and spillage was minimal. However, while Monday describes this top as lifted and supported, I found that several other Monday tops did a better job of lifting my larger bust than this one did.

I went back and forth on the rating for this one. The fit is genuinely good and the underwire is comfortable, but ultimately I had to knock a point off for the thin straps. It wasn’t that they were uncomfortable — they weren’t — but for a larger bust, thinner straps simply don’t provide the same degree of lift and support that a wider strap would. A small but notable difference for those of us in the G cup range!

Monday Malibu Top

The Monday Malibu Top is a large bust underwire bikini top with a beautiful ruching detail on the cups. It features thick, adjustable shoulder straps, a back tie closure, and shirred underwire cups that add a touch of texture and dimension to the style.

This top fit me beautifully and was incredibly comfortable from the moment I put it on. The cups were very supportive with little to no spillage, and the thick straps provided exactly the kind of lift and comfort I’ve come to expect from a great large bust bikini top.

If you’re looking for a flattering, supportive underwire top with a little extra fun detail, the Malibu Top is the one. The shirring elevates it from a basic underwire into something a bit more special.

Monday Bordeaux Top

The Monday Bordeaux Top is a large bust friendly bikini top featuring a crossover neckline, adjustable straps, and an adjustable tie closure. The top is constructed with “power mesh” lining for added support — though in my experience, the support didn’t quite live up to that promise.

I ran into a few issues with this one. First, the crisscross design was genuinely confusing to put on and get situated correctly — I found myself constantly second-guessing whether I was wearing it right. Beyond that, once I had it on, I felt it offered very little support and left me feeling saggy rather than lifted.

The fit was also borderline too small in the VVV. When I went snorkeling, I had a number of wardrobe malfunctions with this top, and even just standing still I felt like the wrapped fabric at the bottom was barely keeping everything in place. It’s a genuinely cute style, but unfortunately the coverage and support simply aren’t there for a G cup bust.

Monday Barbuda Top

The Monday Barbuda Top is one of Monday Swimwear’s newest styles, introduced in summer 2025. It features thick, adjustable over-the-shoulder straps, a tie-back closure, and an O-ring detail at the front of the chest. The overall aesthetic is reminiscent of a bralette — which is a nice change from Monday’s more classic underwire top shapes.

Going into this one, I wasn’t sure it would be supportive enough for my G cup bust given the lack of underwire and bralette style. My instincts were right — it’s not the most supportive option in Monday’s lineup. That said, it was genuinely very comfortable to wear, and I found myself appreciating how different the style felt compared to everything else in my Monday collection. Sometimes a little variety goes a long way!

If maximum support is your top priority, you may want to opt for one of Monday’s underwire styles instead. But if you’re looking for something comfortable, stylish, and a little different from the usual, the Barbuda Top is absolutely worth trying.

Is Monday Swim Worth the Money?

If you’ve made it this far through the post, you’ve probably noticed that Monday Swimwear tops don’t come cheap — regularly ranging from around $80 to $100 for the top alone. So is it worth the investment?

My answer is a resounding yes. Quality bikini tops for large busts are genuinely hard to come by, and Monday delivers on both fit and variety like no other brand I’ve tried. Beyond the impressive range of cuts and styles, they also offer a wide selection of fabrics and colors, frequently releasing new seasonal collections and coordinating cover-ups that make it easy to build a cohesive beach wardrobe.
