This boho chic brand has everything from mini dresses to rompers to athleisure, and always have a fantastic selection of flowing, beachy maxi dresses. Free People’s Extratropical Maxi dress is my go-to beach photoshoot dress – I have it in several colors and always pack one for my vacations!
Dupe Alert! For those who love the Free People style but are working on a budget, Amazon has a TON of Free People dupes. I purchased the Amazon dupe of the Free People Extratropical Maxi dress below and honestly can’t find a difference between the two. These dupes will save you a ton of money but still give you the Free People look.

Reformation is an LA-made brand with a very feminine and romantic aesthetic. Reformation is most known for their dresses as well as being a popular option for bridal party and occasion dresses. If you’re looking for pretty prints, long lean lines, thigh high slits, and slinky fits, this is your brand. Plus, with Reformation’s focus on sustainability, you can feel good about your purchase.
Dupe Alert! There aren’t a ton of exact Reformation dupes on Amazon, but if you search the term you will find a some options similar to Reformation styles. Amazon also has a Reformation Kaila dress dupe, which is amazing since the dress was recently discontinued. Definitely worth a look if you are on a budget.
Rails
Rails is another LA-made brand, this one known for their cute button up menswear inspired shirts. However, they have a great selection of casual sundresses that will be perfect for your next trip. With subdued patterns and breezy linen fabrics, these dresses can go from vacation to brunch to errands in a snap.

It may surprise you that Banana Republic is on this list, since traditionally they have been known for workwear. However, the brand has changed in recent years, with a focus on higher quality staple pieces – many of which are great options for vacations. While they tend to have less summery options during the winter season, you still can find some good options year round.
